For more than 150 years, Nurse Anesthetists have been providing care to patients across the United States. Administering more than 49 million anesthetics to patients each year, most of us rely on CRNAs at least once in our lifetime.
Practicing in every medical setting where anesthesia is delivered, CRNAs are an essential part of the mission of Caring for All. Today marks the launch of CRNA Week, a weeklong celebration of the history and the future of Nurse Anesthetists. The theme for this year's celebration is: "Your Comfort. Your Care. WE ARE THERE." If you haven't already done so – check out the AANA website's 2020 National CRNA Week Social Media Toolkit to learn about all the ways you can show your CRNA pride.
This week is more than recognition. It is an opportunity to educate the public about the critical work CRNAs do every day that directly impacts the quality of care extended by medical facilities across the country.
Here at Cross Country Locums, we believe in celebrating the incredible professionals we are privileged to support. We also believe in your continued growth, development and advancement. This week at Cross Country Locums, we will dedicate our blog and social channels to highlighting exciting facts about the Nurse Anesthetist profession. We will review how the "Locums Life" is a flexible option for career independence. We will share stories from the field and invite all of our CRNAs to participate in a prize drawing with a winner to be announced next Monday, January 27th, on our company LinkedIn page.
The drawing will be introduced tomorrow via email to all CRNAs that have worked or applied to work with us within the last two years. Afraid you aren't on the list? Contact us today with your interest, and we'll be sure to add you to our list of invited participants! Please stay on the lookout for our email invitation beginning Monday, January 20th.
To all the CRNAs working so tirelessly to provide quality care – we thank you and look forward to showing our appreciation with recognition, professional adventure and dedicated support.
Happy CRNA Week!
