National Physicians Week is March 25-31, 2022, and we are deeply grateful for the devotion and dedication doctors deliver to keep our nation healthy and safe. We recognize that your profession requires an unparalleled commitment to education, expertise, fortitude and resilience that many of us could only aspire to achieve – and that’s during typical times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, physicians have gone above and beyond to protect our nation and care for us. Thank you.
About Doctors’ Day and National Physicians Week
In 1933, Eudora Brown Almond started Doctors’ Day. As the wife of a physician, she knew how much effort and time doctors dedicated to their practice. She led others in sending thank you cards to physicians and their wives and placing flowers on deceased doctors’ graves. Over the years, Doctors’ Day gained national attention, and in 1990, it was designated as a national holiday. In 2017, Doctors’ Day was extended to a week.
National Physicians Week provides an opportunity to prioritize physician well-being, advocacy and education. It gives patients, families, companies and organizations the perfect opportunity to thank physicians, honor them and recognize their outstanding contributions to our society.
We cannot adequately express our collective appreciation for our physicians and healthcare providers on the frontlines. You are our heroes. We recognize your dedication and selflessness. We hold you in high esteem, and we are grateful that you have dedicated your lives to not only fulfilling your own passion but also to caring for your communities.
Thank you for all you do, during National Physicians Week, on Doctors’ Day and every day.
From your team at Cross Country Locums.
