Karen Mote, President
Karen, the President of Cross Country Locums (formerly Medical Doctor Associates), joined the organization in 1998. In her more than 20 years with the organization, she has honed strategic expertise in locum tenens and advanced practice staffing, with roles in physician and allied recruitment and sales. Formerly, as Vice President, Karen led the sales and recruitment strategy for the Advanced Practice division. Prior to joining Cross Country Locums, Karen worked in the healthcare industry as a Medical Laboratory Technician, where her foundation and passion for healthcare began. Karen attended North Georgia College and earned her A.A.S. degree from North Georgia Technical College.
Anne Anderson, Executive Vice President
With more than 30 years of experience at Medical Doctor Associates, Anne is responsible for risk management and other operational functions, including travel and housing. She is a past president of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO) and has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2006. Anne earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and received the Healthcare Risk Manager designation from MMI Companies and Finch University in Chicago, Illinois.
Milan Boulette, Vice President of Managed & Physician Services
As the Vice President of Managed & Physician Services, Milan applies his 18 years of locum tenens and per diem nursing experience to the strategic and operational management of MDA’s MSP programs. As a member of the NALTO Ethics Committee Milan is recognized for professionalism and integrity and takes pride in applying his industry knowledge to create innovative approaches to building and managing cohesive teams.
April Hawthorne, Senior Director of Recruitment
As Director of Recruitment, Advanced Practice for Cross Country Locums, April provides leadership in sales, team building and staffing services. With over 25 years’ experience with Cross Country Locums (formerly Medical Doctor Associates), April has spent most her career in emergency medicine and has served as Team Lead for Cross Country Locum’s government division, developing a successful and cohesive team of recruiters with multi-specialty capabilities. April earned her B.A. in Human Resources Development from Harding University.
Quincy S. Young, Senior Director of Recruitment
As Senior Director of Physician Services for Cross Country Locums, Quincy is responsible for the daily leadership of physician services. Quincy is accountable for financial performance and revenue growth; he also provides leadership and oversight for all service lines. Quincy has more than 10 years of recruiting experience and has worked with organizations across the healthcare spectrum, including the Veterans Administration, Department of Defense and Indian Health Services. He earned an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from St. Ambrose University.
Ana Ortiz, Director of National Sales
Ana is a results-oriented, innovative leader with demonstrated and measurable success in the areas of management, sales & marketing, operations, new business development and account management. Recognized as a positive and engaging communicator with a strong history of building, coaching and managing high-performing sales teams. She has 27 years of successful sales career experience with over 19 years dedicated to the Locum Tenens staffing industry. She has studied abroad, attending Cambridge University and receiving certified training from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Royal Society of Education. As a member of the NALTO Vendor Committee, Ana is recognized for professionalism and integrity and takes pride in applying her industry knowledge to create result-driven approaches to building and managing consistent sales teams of top performers.
Diana K. “Di” Hall CPCS CPMSM FMSP - Senior Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement
Di Hall has over 20 years’ experience in managed care credentialing and quality improvement. She began her career as the Credentialing Coordinator at a small PPO in Amarillo, TX in 1993. She has successfully assisted her organizations through NCQA, URAC and Joint Commission accreditation reviews. In her current role, she covers oversight of clinical candidate qualification verification, regulatory compliance, company-wide quality initiatives, auditing and training.
Di is dually certified via the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) and has served NAMSS as past Chair of the Education and Marketing/Membership Committees. She has also been granted the NAMSS Fellow designation, making her one of 40 professionals with this honor. Di is the current President of the Georgia Association of Medical Staff Services (GAMSS), after being a volunteer leader since 1998. She is a national speaker and subject matter expert in managed care, risk management and delegated credentialing topics.
Maggie Watson, Director of Travel & Housing
For the past 17 years, Maggie has worked on building and overseeing the travel and housing team at Cross Country Locums (formerly Medical Doctor Associates). Her more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry has been essential to finding the lowest fares and rates with hotels, airlines and car rentals for locum tenens clinicians. Maggie takes great pride in caring for the needs of healthcare providers who travel the country with Cross Country Locums to meet the medical needs of clients and their patients. Maggie graduated from North East Academy in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Her travel career began after she graduated from The Executive School of Travel in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988.
